Dear 21st Century Democrat Supporter,

2008 has been a revolutionary year in American politics and the Democratic National Convention in Denver will be no different. Unfortunately, 21st Century Democrats has had to change our plans with regard to participation in the convention this year. We are conducting trainings in 9 cities throughout the country over the next few weeks and have 32 organizers on the ground working for our candidates. That number must grow between now and November. Some of our candidates are in unexpectedly tight races and need our help to push them over the top.

We have discussed the opportunities presented by the convention and those presented if our candidates win in November and have decided that our candidates must come first. While we are disappointed that we will not be on hand to witness the historic nomination of Barack Obama, but we believe that in this extraordinary election year, we must concentrate our resources on trainings grassroots organizers and winning elections.
